What is Align?
Align turns cutting down screen time into something you do with friends. You block distracting apps during focus sessions, run timed challenges against your group, and build streaks together — accountability instead of willpower.
How does app blocking work?
Align uses Apple's Screen Time framework. You grant Screen Time permission and choose which apps to block; during a session or challenge, those apps are shielded on your device. You can review or revoke the permission anytime in iOS Settings.
Can I take a break mid-session?
Yes. Breaks of up to 15 minutes temporarily unblock your apps. Your break time is visible to your group and is subtracted from your focus total, so the scoreboard stays honest.
How do groups and challenges work?
Groups hold up to four people and are invite-only. Anyone in a group can start a challenge: everyone blocks their chosen apps for the same window, and whoever stays off longest wins. Results and streaks appear on your profile and leaderboard.
What is Align Pro?
Align Pro is an optional subscription — $7.99/month or $29.99/year, each with a 3-day free trial. The free tier keeps the core loop (sessions, a group, challenges); Pro lifts limits and unlocks deeper stats history.
How do I cancel or restore a subscription?
Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID. To cancel, open your App Store account settings and manage subscriptions there — cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid renewal. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. If you reinstall or switch devices, use Restore Purchases in the App to recover Pro access.
How do I delete my account?
Open Profile → Settings → Delete Account in the App. Deletion removes your account and associated data permanently and cannot be undone.
What data does Align collect?
Your screen time data is processed entirely on your device and never reaches our servers. Account details, group messages, and challenge results are stored securely to make the social features work. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
